TWC sets date for ‘Basterds’

Tarantino's WWII epic to bow on Aug. 21

The Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures have set a date for Quentin Tarantino’s World War II epic “Inglourious Basterds.”

The Brad Pitt starrer will open domestically on Aug. 21, with TWC handling distribution Stateside.

Universal, which is handling international distribution, will announce overseas release dates soon.

TWC and Universal are co-financing and co-presenting the film, which also stars Eli Roth, BJ Novak and Mike Myers.
