Stars show school spirit at USC

Celebs attend School of Cinematic Arts opening

HOLLYWOOD — Stars were campus-bound on Saturday night as Jeffrey Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Mellody Hobson hosted a private party to celebrate the opening of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts’ new facility.

Checking out the new high-tech complex was Hollywood’s popular crowd: Sean Penn, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart, Barbra Streisand and James Brolin, Diane Keaton, Robert Zemeckis, Jay Roach and Susanna Hoffs, Hugh Hefner, Holly Hunter, Christina Applegate, Rosario Dawson, Ron Howard, America Ferrera, Samuel L. Jackson, John Singleton, Viola Davis, Maria Bello and Peter Guber.

After touring the digs, stars joined school dean Elizabeth Daley for a sit-down dinner, where they were treated to a performance by James Taylor and Carole King.
