Southeast goes with ‘Air’

Crix group also lauds Clooney, Reitman

The Southeastern Film Critics Assn. also showed the love to Jason Reitman’s “Up in the Air,” naming it best picture, along with George Clooney for actor, plus Reitman and Sheldon Turner for adapted screenplay.

The Hurt Locker’s” Kathryn Bigelow nabbed the org’s top directing honors.

Meryl Streep won lead actress for “Julie and Julia,” while Mo’Nique took the prize for her supporting turn in “Precious.”

Christoph Waltz won supporting actor for his perf in “Inglourious Basterds.”

Original screenplay honors went to “500 Days of Summer” scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. “Food, Inc.” picked up the docu nod, while Disney/Pixar’s “Up” was named animated feature and “Summer Hours,” foreign-language film.

Org’s Wyatt Award went to writer-director Scott Teems’ “That Evening Sun.”
