Six fellows to attend Composers Lab

Sundance film music program runs July 15-29

Six fellows will attend this year’s Sundance Institute Composers Lab, as part of the org’s film music program, which runs July 15-29 at the Sundance Resort in Utah.

This year’s fellows are Kim Carroll, Chanda Dancy, Magda Giannikou, Lili Haydn, Christopher Lord and David Poe.

First offered from 1986-89, then re-introduced in 1998, the lab is offered in cooperation with the feature film program where each composer will score scenes shot during the directors lab.

Fellows will also work with film composers and music professionals, including George S. Clinton, Harry Gregson-Williams and film editor and sound designer Walter Murch.
