Sheila Nevins gets Governors Award

HBO Doc prez nominated for four Emmys

Sheila Nevins, president of HBO Documentary Films, will be feted with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Board of Governors Award at the 2009 Creative Arts Emmys.

Nevins is already nominated for four Emmys, including three for “The Alzheimer’s Project.”

Since joining HBO more than 20 years ago, Nevins and her department have received more than 50 nominations and 22 wins.

The awards will be held on Sept 12 at the Nokia Theatre and the telecast will appear the following week on Sept 18 on E! Entertainment.
