Hooper, Allen named exec VPs of marketing

Fox Searchlight has upped Michelle Hooper and Stephanie Allen to exec veepees of marketing, while Sheila DeLoach has been promoted to exec VP of distribution.

Trio report directly to Searchlight prexies Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley.

DeLoach will manage all aspects of distribution, while Hooper and Allen will jointly manage all aspects of marketing.

“These promotions allow them to continue using their cutting edge creativity and vast knowledge throughout the organization to help us continue to grow,” Utley and Gilula said in a joint statement.

Hooper joined Searchlight in 2006 from Fox Broadcasting, where she was VP of entertainment publicity, implementing national publicity campaigns for TV series including “American Idol,” “24” and “The Simpsons.” Prior to that, she worked at CBS Entertainment.

Allen arrived at Searchlight in 2000. She previously worked at TriStar Pictures as VP of creative advertising. She also did stints at Rolling Stone magazine and Orion Pictures.

DeLoach’s previous title at Searchlight was senior VP of distribution. She played a key role in the distribution rollout of numerous Searchlight titles, including Oscar winner “Slumdog Millionaire.”

DeLoach joined Searchlight in 1997 from Orion, where she was VP, Eastern sales manager. She began her career as booking clerk at Columbia Pictures.
