Kate Winslet will be feted on Friday with the fest’s Montecito Award, along with a tribute moderated by Leonard Maltin at the Arlington Theater.

“A Celebration of David Fincher,” with the fest’s guest director in attendance, will take place next Friday, Jan. 30.

Other honorees include Penelope Cruz, Kristin Scott Thomas, Clint Eastwood and Mickey Rourke.

Viola Davis, Rosemarie DeWitt, Sally Hawkins, Richard Jenkins, Melissa Leo and Michael Shannon will all receive the fest’s Virtuosos honor for rising talent.


Saturday, Jan. 24

11 a.m. “Directors on Directing,” moderated by Variety Editor-in-Chief Peter Bart

2 p.m. “It Starts With the Script,” moderated by deputy editor Anne Thompson

Sunday, Feb. 1

1 p.m. 10-10-10 Student Screenwriting and Filmmaking Competition. Screening of 10-minute films created by 10 student filmmakers (five high school, five college), adapted from scripts written by 10 student writers.
