Online casting directory offers updated features
The Screen Actors Guild has upgraded its 3-year-old iActor online casting directory, touting it as the go-to source for casting agents, producers and new-media developers.About 26,000 SAG members have created individual profiles — which include headshots, resumes, video and audio clips — that are searchable by casting professionals. Members must be dues-current to have their profiles listed. The enhancements include providing PDF and HTML formats for resumes; offering additional options for actor body type, ethnicity and special skills; adding description fields for “voice quality” and “sound-alikes” to voice-over resumes; adding an integrated media slideshow feature; and updating the options for gender. Additionally contact information provided by SAG’s 120,000 members is available to casting pros and producers.
