Redford to receive Owens Award

Actor to be honored at San Francisco Film Fest

Robert Redford will receive the Peter J. Owens Award on April 30 at the 52nd San Francisco Film Festival.

The kudo honors an actor whose work “exemplifies brilliance, independence and integrity.”

Redford will also be honored in a tribute at the Castro Theater on April 29. Phil Bronstein, editor-at-large of the San Francisco Chronicle, will conduct an onstage interview with Redford, followed by the world premiere screening of a restored version of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
