Benefit dinner to honor Kaufman/Astoria president

The Queens Council on the Arts will honor Kaufman/Astoria Studios prexy Hal Rosenbluth at the org’s 43rd annual benefit dinner on May 14.

Rosenbluth was instrumental in the expansion of KAS during the 90s and the subsequent change of landscape in the Astoria region — formerly a crime-ridden neighborhood frequented by drug dealers. The studio now sits at the center of the busiest section of the suburb and has attracted restaurants and stores to the area.
