No ‘Uncertainty’ for IFC

Film unit picks up rights to thriller

IFC Films has picked up U.S. rights to David Siegel and Scott McGehee’s “Uncertainty,” a thriller starring “500 Days of Summer” star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”).

Set in two alternate realities in New York, the pic was shot hand-held and improvisationally.

Deal was struck between IFC’s Arianna Bocco and Cinetic Media.

Pic will bow theatrically at IFC Center in New York on Nov. 13 and on video-on-demand starting Nov. 11.

Helming duo’s credits include 2001 suspenser “The Deep End” and 2005 drama “Bee Season,” both of which were both distributed by Fox Searchlight.
