December’s big-budget comic adaptation “Largo Winch” is a major step up for Gastaldo. “I’ve always wanted to handle this type of heavyweight film,” says Gastaldo, who’s already prepping a sequel. “I like either big comedies or American action movies like the ones I grew up watching.” A self-made producer, Gastaldo integrated Paris-based company Pan-Europeene in 2005. Shingle has a distrib deal with Wild Bunch. “Largo” has closed multiple key territories, including the U.K. (Optimum) and Japan (Comstock).
