(Sales: Bankside Films) Burning Down the House Docu chronicling the rise and fall of legendary Bowery music haunt CBGB is directed by docu producer-helmer Mandy Stein, who, as daughter of Sire Records co-founder Seymour Stein, spent her youth at the club. (Julie Goldman at Cactus 3) The Eclipse Drama about a widower and two writers, whose lives intersect at an Irish literary festival, is helmed by playwright Conor McPherson with a cast including Ciaran Hinds, Aidan Quinn and Iben Hjejle (“High Fidelity”). (Submarine) The Lost Son of Havana Docu, produced by Bobby and Peter Farrelly, concerns pitcher Luis Tiant’s return to Cuba 46 years after he was brought to the U.S. to play professional baseball. Helmed by Jonathan Hock and screening in Tribeca’s ESPN sidebar. (CAA) Love the Beast Oz thesp Eric Bana’s helming bow is a docu about his passion for cars and his “beast” — a Ford XB Falcon Coupe. Pic includes footage of Bana (“The Hulk”) racing in the five-day Targa Tasmania, and it unspools in the ESPN sidebar. (WMi) Serious Moonlight Thesp Cheryl Hines directs a script by the late Adrienne Shelly (“Waitress”) about an attorney who uncovers her husband’s infidelity and holds him captive until he commits to working on their marriage. Meg Ryan and Timothy Hutton star. (Andrew Herwitz at the Film Sales Co.) Shadow Billionaire Docu concerns DHL founder Larry Hillblom, whose secret life is revealed after he disappears on a private flight over the Pacific. A court battle over his estate ensued after a string of Southeast Asian women came forward claiming to have borne his heirs. (Submarine) Stay Cool Polish Bros. romantic comedy follows a guy (Mark Polish) who returns home after almost 20 years to find the same things are still at play. Cast includes Winona Ryder and Hilary Duff. Helmed by Michael Polish. (Polish Bros.) Tell Tale Edgar Allan Poe-inspired psychological thriller stars Josh Lucas, Brian Cox and Lena Headey (“300″). Helmed by Michael Cuesta (“L.I.E.”) and produced by a team that includes Tony and Ridley Scott. (Endeavor)
