Former CAA agent set as literary manager

Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment has hired former CAA agent Alex Lerner as a literary manager.

Lerner worked his way through the CAA mailroom and Richard Lovett’s office and was promoted to agent in 2008.

Artists joining Lerner in the move to KPE include writer-director John Stalberg Jr. (the upcoming “High School”); Michael Greenspan, director and co-writer of the upcoming “Wrecked,” starring Adrien Brody; David Brind, who wrote “Dare”; and Dan West, who wrote “Abroad.”

Ten-year-old Kaplan/Perrone recently produced “Knowing” for Summit.
