HOLLYWOOD — It was as much a premiere for Rogue’s new management as it was for “The Last House on the Left” when the horror pic preemed Tuesday at the ArcLight.
“This doubles as the launch party for the new Rogue,” confirmed Ryan Kavanaugh, whose Relativity Media recently bought the specialty label from Universal, at the crowded Katsuya after-party. “Rogue has always been a strong brand with 15- to 25-year-olds. We’re going to take it further.”
The classiest brand name in horror films, producer Wes Craven, was on hand to see the remake of a pic he directed over 37 years ago, back when “when genre films weren’t lifestyles,” he said. “Now they’ve become acceptable and not seen as something perverted and demented.”
