Actor joins Bacall, Molina in drama
Josh Hutcherson in rounding out the cast of “Carmel,” opposite Lauren Bacall, Alfred Molina, Dina Eastwood and Hayden Panettiere in a drama centered on art forgery.
The indie pic, which begins shooting this week in Carmel, Calif., is directed and produced by Lawrence Roeck.
Script, penned by Carlos de los Rios, focuses on a troubled 16-year-old boy, who wanders into Carmel, falls into the wrong crowd and becomes involved in art forgery. He’s befriended by a retired local artist who traces her career back to the early days of Carmel artists, writers and other creative types, all with skeletons in their closets.
Hutcherson recently starred in “Journey 3D” with Brendan Fraser and will next be seen in “Cirque du Freak” with Salma Hayek.
