The Hollywood Post Alliance has announced its recipients of this year’s engineering excellence kudos.
The kudo honors innovations and advancements in post-production technologies.
DVS Digital Video Systems, which focuses on real-time 4K-processing systems, will be honored for its Clipster program. The one-step hardware and software system can be configured to specific digital processing needs.
Also being honored are Signiant’s content distribution management software used to manage the movement of rich media content and S.Two corp.’s OB-1 Uncompressed Digital Recorder — a system that transfers digital images to post.
Along with the HPA’s special awards, the org will fete filmmakers in categories including color grading/DI, audio post production, compositing and editorial for film, TV and commercials.
Recipients of the engineering kudos were selected at a judging session last month.
The HPA Awards will be handed out at a gala Nov. 12 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
