Company signs distribution pact for factual fare
LONDON — Global production powerhouse Endemol has signed its first third-party global distribution deal.
Under the new leadership of chief commercial officer Tom Toumazis, formerly a topper at Disney’s European arm, Endemol Intl. is to represent U.K. factual and entertainment shingle Spun Gold.
“The expansion and diversification of our distribution activities is a key part of Endemol’s growth strategy and we expect this to be the first of many similar global third party deals,” Toumazis said.
Spun Gold, formed in 2004, specializes in sensation-tinged factual fare, often with a celebrity angle.
Its titles include “The Return of Courtney Love,” “Ulrika Jonsson: Am I a Sex Addict?” and “Whatever Happened to the Gender Benders?”
