Elisabeth Shue to star in ‘Piranha 3D’

Elisabeth Shue will topline Dimension Films’ “Piranha 3D,” which starts shooting in May.

Horror redo helmed by Alexandre Aja (“The Hills Have Eyes”) is set for a March 19 release.

Shue plays the town sheriff trying to save the lake and her family from being devoured by the sharp-toothed fish. Adam Scott will star as a diver for the U.S. Geological Service who helps discover the piranha outbreak.

Shue spoofed herself in 2008 comedy “Hamlet 2.”
