Scottish festival runs June 17-28
The Edinburgh Film Festival, which runs June 17-28, has introduced awards for international feature and international short.
The prizes, announced Wednesday by artistic director Hannah McGill, are designed to broaden the appeal of Edinburgh to international filmmakers and local auds.
The feature prize will be open to pics receiving their world preem or first screening outside their home territory in any section of the festival.
The films will be judged by a three-person jury separate from the jury that presides over the fest’s Michael Powell Award for British feature.
