‘Dead Men’ finds life in the U.S.

Phase 4 picks up rights for distribution

“Fifty Dead Men Walking” has found life at Phase 4 Films.

Distrib picked up all U.S. rights to Kari Skogland’s gritty Irish-set actioner, and plans a theatrical bow on Aug. 21.

“Fifty” stars Jim Sturgess (“21”) and Ben Kingsley and was inspired by Martin McGartland’s life as an IRA infiltrator.

Phase 4, which also released Lori Petty’s “The Poker House,” was founded by former Peace Arch Home Entertainment prexy Berry Meyerowitz.

Pic premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year.
