Dances With Films laces up in L.A.

Independent festival to screen 100 films

Independent fest Dances With Films will screen 100 pics from the U.S. and abroad during its June 4-11 run at Laemmle’s Sunset 5 in West Hollywood.

Key to its indie feel, the festival requires competition films have no big-name actors, directors, writers or producers.

But as part of its lineup, the fest also will feature an alumni spotlight section, including Paul DeNigris’ “Cowboy Dreams” with Bill Engvall; and Michael Madsen-Virginia Madsen starrer “Being Michael Madsen,” helmed by alum Michael Mongillo.

Danceswithfilms.com has ticket info and other particulars on the fest.
