Trade fair to spotlight overseas fare with events
MADRID — The Mip TV trade fair will spotlight China, organizing industry panels, events and private receptions in a “Focus on China” program strand on March 31.
Tian Jin, vice minister of China’s all-powerful media regulator, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (Sarft), will head what Mip TV organizers Reed Midem describe as a high-powered delegation at the TV mart.
Chinese company presence is expected to include China Intl. TV Corp., CTV Media, Hunan Satellite TV and Zhejiang Huace Film & TV.
The 46th Mip TV runs March 30-April 3 in Cannes. Reed Midem is owned by Daily Variety parent Reed Elsevier.
