Wyndcrest Holdings, the parent company of visual effects studio Digital Domain, has announced the military training and simulation team for the new Digital Domain Florida studio.
Ray Dubois, a senior adviser for the Center for Strategic and Intl. Studies, will chair Wyndcrest’s advisory group. James Peppler, a former Air Force major, will be director of military affairs and oversee daily operations of military simulations. The two will lead Wyndcrest’s group on military training and simulation, which uses digital and visual effects from film and videogames for military training.
Wyndcrest will present examples of Digital Domain’s digital imagery and virtual worlds from its digital production studio at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 30-Dec. 4.
