Agency nabs Binoche, Gandolfini and Bertino

In recent weeks, CAA has made several client signings that include Oscar-winning French actress Juliette Binoche, “Sopranos” star James Gandolfini and “The Strangers” writer-director Bryan Bertino.

Binoche, who won her Oscar for “The English Patient” and had been at WME, was last seen in “Dan in Real Life” and most recently completed the Abbas Kiarostami-directed “Certified Copy” in Italy.

Gandolfini, who had been with CAA before a stint at WME, is coming off his Broadway turn in “God of Carnage” and voiced a creature in “Where the Wild Things Are.”

CAA will rep Bertino (who had been at Paradigm) along with his Unbroken Pictures banner. After writing and directing sleeper hit “The Stranger,” Bertino scripted the sequel, as well as “Black,” a picture set up at Relativity and Atlas. He will next direct “Green Eyes.”

Bertino launched Unbroken Pictures with Adrienne Biddle, who had been senior veep at Rogue Pictures and before that veep of production and acquisitions at Summit Entertainment.
