Johnny Depp has been tapped to receive the Career Achievement Award at this year’s Bahamas Film Festival.
The kudo honors an actor whose work has had an impact on international cinema and will be presented by Sean Connery on Dec. 13. The fest runs Dec. 10-17 in Nassau.
Past recipients include Nicolas Cage, Laurence Fishburne and Daryl Hannah. Depp was selected for his performances in films such as “Sweeney Todd,” “Finding Neverland,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Public Enemies.” He stars in Tim Burton’s upcoming “Alice in Wonderland.”
