Arclight Films taps Mark Lindsay

Industry vet named prexy of sales and acquisitions

Industry veteran Mark Lindsay has been named president of sales & acquisitions for Arclight Films and will head up the company’s new Gotham office.

Lindsay’s career includes senior positions with Miramax Intl., Spelling Films Intl. and Lorimar. Prior to joining Arclight, he was president of Kimmel Intl., the international licensing and distribution arm of Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.

Lindsay has overseen the licensing and international distribution of hundreds of films including “Chicago,” “Scream,” “Scary Movie,” “Kill Bill,” “Sin City” and “The Usual Suspects.” He’s a former member of the board of the Intl. Film and Television Alliance.

Arclight has represented more than 100 films and includes Darclight Films as its genre division and Easternlight Films for Asian cinema. The company has offices in Los Angeles, Sydney and Tokyo.
