Angelus Student fest extends deadline

Film event to bestow winner with $10,000

The Angelus Student Film Festival extended the entry deadline to July 1 for its 14th annual competish.

The fest aimed at honoring all genres of student filmmakers with a humanist bent has a grand prize of $10,000, as well as a history of being a career launchpad for participants.

Previous nominees include Reto Caffi, whose entry “On the Line” drew a live-action short nom, and Ham Tran, whose film “Journey From the Fall” was an official selection in Sundance 2006.

The fest is set for Sept. 19 at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood.
