Alcon acquires ‘Lottery Ticket’

Ice Cube, Bow Wow to star in urban comedy

Alcon Entertainment has acquired Abdul Williams’ script “Lottery Ticket” in turnaround from Rogue Pictures and will finance and produce the urban comedy as a starring vehicle for Bow Wow and Ice Cube.

Musicvid helmer Erik White will make his feature directorial debut on the project, set to begin lensing in Atlanta in October.

Alcon toppers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce along with Evolution partners Mark Burg and Oren Koules. Matt Alvarez of Ice Cube’s production company, Cube Vision, will also produce.

Evolution’s Brad Kaplan and Andrew Wilson will co-produce “Lottery Ticket,” to be released through Alcon’s output deal with Warner Bros.

Story revolves around a young man, portrayed by Bow Wow, living in the projects who has to survive a three-day weekend after his opportunistic neighbors find out he’s holding a winning lottery ticket worth $350 million.

Bow Wow is repped by UTA and Ice Cube by WME. UTA reps Williams while WME reps White; both are managed by Evolution.
