Top execs to discuss creativity, dealmaking
Variety has firmed four panelists for the Dec. 10 Dealmakers Impact Breakfast.
Skip Brittenham (partner in Ziffren Brittenham), Andrew Gumpert (Columbia Pictures president of biz affairs & administration), David Shaheen (J.P. Morgan managing director and group head of entertainment industries group) and Jeff Small (DreamWorks Studios chief operating officer) will talk about creativity and challenges for dealmakers in a rapidly evolving showbiz atmosphere.
Variety editor Timothy M. Gray will moderate the panel at the invitation-only breakfast.
The art of the deal, the state of the industry and its future will also be explored by guest including top-level executives from the fields of law, finance and film-TV production.
The breakfast will occur the same day as publication of Variety’s annual Dealmakers Impact Report. The report spotlights key players who are driving some of the industry’s most important finance, talent and technology deals.
Steven Gaydos, who oversaw the Impact section, said, “From the DreamWorks-Reliance deal to the ink-still-wet Comcast/NBC Universal pact, the media world continues to be reshaped. Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report brings readers up to date on the latest accomplishments of a few dozen of the most important makers of front-page entertainment business news.”
