Summit crosses ‘Golden Gate’

Studio acquires rights to track star thriller

Summit Entertainment has acquired rights to thriller “Golden Gate,” with Tommy O’Haver directing from Charles Bohl’s screenplay.

“Golden Gate” will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron through their Zadan/Meron banner along with Alison Rosenzweig through the Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films shingle. Michael Gaeta will exec produce via Gaeta/Rosenzweig along with Travis Knox.

Story centers on a female track star with a secret past. O’Haver directed “An American Crime,” starring Catherine Keener. Bohl’s writing credits include “Swimfan.”

Zadan and Meron are developing “Damn Yankees” for New Line, while Gaeta/Rosenzweig’s developing a remake of “Angel Heart.”
