Exec oversaw campaigns for 'Zombieland,' '2012'
Marisa McGrath has been upped to senior VP of national theatrical publicity for Sony Pictures.
McGrath most recently oversaw the publicity campaigns for such films as “Zombieland,” “Julie and Julia,” “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” and the studio’s tentpole “2012.” She will continue to play a key role in orchestrating and overseeing the national launch of several films each year. McGrath will oversee one of two PR teams guiding releases from Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation and select acquisitions.
She will report to Andre Caraco, executive VP of motion picture publicity for Sony Pictures worldwide marketing and distribution. McGrath is currently working on campaigns for “The Green Hornet” and “Salt.”
