Paramount visits ‘Grandma’

Hurwitz, Schlossberg penned comedy spec

Paramount Pictures has snapped up the comedy spec “Grandma vs. Grandma” from scribes Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.

Douglas Wick (“RV”) is producing through his Red Wagon banner.

Story revolves around two women with very different styles of child-rearing who babysit their grandkids for a month and compete for their affections.

Sony-based Red Wagon has a number of projects in development, including vampire drama “The Historian” and Prohibition-era crime pic “The Wettest County in the World.”

Hurwitz and Schlossberg recently penned a third installment in the “Harold and Kumar” franchise that’s in development at Mandate and New Line.
