Tilda Swinton to preside over panel
Hong Kong-born helmer Wayne Wang, Spanish filmmaker Isabel Coixet, German director Christoph Schlingensief and American restaurateur Alice Waters have signed up for jury duty at the Berlin Film Festival, which runs Feb. 5-15.
Tilda Swinton presides over this year’s jury, which will hand out the Golden Bear to the winner of the main competition section.
Also on board are film director and educator Gaston Kabore of Burkina Faso and bestselling Swedish author Henning Mankell.
Wang, who lives and works in the U.S., most recently helmed “A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.”
Coixet has become a regular at the Berlinale and has had four films unspool at the fest. She is working on the romantic thriller “Map of the Sounds of Tokyo.”
