Amber Tamblyn eyes ‘Street’ cred

Actress in final talks for 'Main' film

Amber Tamblyn is in final negotiations to play the lead character in Horton Foote’s ensemble drama “Main Street” for Reliant Pictures.

Orlando Bloom is also in talks to star in the cast, which includes Ellen Burstyn, Patricia Clarkson and Colin Firth.

British helmer John Doyle is directing the drama, scripted by Foote after visiting Durham, N.C., two years ago. Foote passed away on March 4.

Story centers on a diverse group of residents of a small, economically moribund American city facing the consequences of change.
