WB, Ziggo launch VOD in Holland

Duo kick off subscription service

HOLLYWOOD — Warner Bros. Entertainment and Dutch cabler Ziggo have launched the Warner TV subscription video-on-demand service in the Netherlands.

Subscribers will be able to rent films on the same day as their DVD release through On-Demand, part of Ziggo’s Interactive TV service.

Warner TV will offer 150 films, including “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Ocean’s Eleven” and “The Matrix”; 600 TV series including “Friends” and “ER”; and 100 hours of animation each year to viewers in the Netherlands.
