Festival qualifies winners for Oscars

An expert panel of jury members selected the winners out of hundreds of submissions from all over the world and ranging in experience levels from professional studios to students. The submissions were judged for computer-generated imagery, animation and storytelling. For ten years, the SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival has been an official qualifying festival for the Academy Award for “Best Animated Short Film.”

Jury Honorable Mention
“Alma” by Rodrigo Blaas, Cecile Hokes (Spain)

Student Prize
“Project: Alpha” by Matthias Bjarnason, Christian Munk Sorensen, Nicolai Slothus, The Animation Workshop (Denmark)
Narrative Animation

Well Told Fable Prize
“Unbelievable Four” by Sukwon Shin, In Pyo Hong (U.S.)
