Release to expand for telescope's 20th anniversary

Imax and Warner Bros. have slotted “Hubble 3D” for a March 19 worldwide release exclusively in Imax locations.

The pic will be expanded to additional Imax locations on April 23 to coincide with the Hubble Space Telescope’s 20th anniversary.

“Hubble 3D” includes images of the spacewalks required to service the telescope during the most recent mission last May. Toni Myers is the director, producer and editor.

The pic is an Imax and Warner Bros. production, in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The film reunites the “Space Station 3D” filmmaking team, led by Toni Myers with James Neihouse, director of photography, doubling as the astronaut crew trainer.

Judy Carroll is associate producer, and Graeme Ferguson, co-founder of Imax, exec produces.
