Executive departs to pursue other opportunities

Kelley Avery is stepping down as prexy of worldwide home entertainment at Paramount Pictures.

The studio said the exec is ankling to pursue other opportunities, and Par has no current plans to fill the post.

The homevid arm’s senior executives report directly to Rob Moore, vice chairman of Paramount Pictures. 

In a statement, Avery called her tenure at Par “rewarding and satisfying.”

Avery joined Par in 2006, after having spent eight years at DreamWorks, which proved beneficial as she oversaw the integration of both studios’ homevid divisions.

Before DreamWorks, Avery had worked in homevid at the Mouse House for 12 years.

At Par, Avery oversaw the ramp-up of Par’s high-definition disc business, as well as DVD releases for not only Paramount but also Par Vantage, DreamWorks Animation, MTV, Nickelodeon and Viacom properties including CBS and Comedy Central.
