New COO of digital to oversee all operations

Discovery Communications has upped Kelly Day to chief operating officer of its digital media and commerce division.

Day will oversee all operations for the newly combined division, which includes Discovery’s U.S. websites, its interactive technology, digital programming, licensing and home entertainment.

Having previously served as COO of the commerce operation, Day oversaw the successful DiscoveryStore.com ecommerce unit.
