At least it wasn't Rod Blagojevich.
Tom DeLay, the former House Majority Leader, will be among the contestants on "Dancing with the Stars" when the series returns on Sept. 21, according to ABC News.
DeLay was nicknamed "The Hammer" during his tenure, which ended in 2005 when he resigned from his position and from his congressional seat a year later in the midst of an investigation for violating campaign finance laws.
DeLay is the first D.C. politico to join the competition. Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson was in season three, but finished in last place.
