As expected, Fox will not broadcast President Obama's speech on Wednesday.
Here's a statement from the network: “The Fox Broadcasting Company will not air the Presidential Address to Congress on Wednesday, September 9 at 8:00 PM (ET). FOX’s sister networks, Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network will air the presidential address in its entirety. FOX will alert viewers with an on-screen graphic at the top of the 8:00 PM (ET) hour that the presidential address is available on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network.”
I am extremely concerned that people find it acceptable to disrespect our country and president. To block out and limit debate on such an important issue such as health insurance, and not allow our children to listen to the importance of citizenship and education is inconceivable in a civilized society. Is this what we really want to teach our children? Children should be encouraged to expand their minds, analyze problems and come up with solutions. They should be encouraged to participate in matters of national policy. I was taught lessons in civics and citizenship. Is this no longer possible? Spewing vile will only cause more hate and acrimony in the world. I find it a very sad day, no matter what side of the issue you are on. How will the world respect us if we can’t show respect to our country, citizens, president and others? Don’t you think its time we think for ourselves and take the moral high road?
Obama is a Commie, since he sat in a Black Liberation Theology church for 22 years. His mentor in Hawaii was Frank Marshall a well known Commie !

I don’t understand the controversy. CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, CNN, CNN Headline, MSNBC, CNBC, FOX News, FOX Business, all the corresponding radio networks, etc, will be carrying this thing. A applaud FOX TV for showing regular programming. If you want to listen or watch the speech, go ahead. If don’t want to, go ahead. I actually wish more networks would not cover these things. Maybe have a rotation in which one network and maybe PBS would cover each one in turn. Having every network and its brother carry the exact same feed is a little redundant. I do remember networks actually cutting off President Bush’s speeches a couple of times and returning to regular programming. How often do you think that will happen with President Obama?
When I see his face or hear his voice, I change channels, he is such a liar, I also do this for Shep Smith and Geraldo( Jerry Rivers) they are liars as well. You can’t believe a word they say, so why waste my time.
So here are all the disgruntled Republicans….I don’t care if your beloved George Bush was speaking, if our president feels the need to speak to the nation, then we should all listen. Hopefully once the big shows come back this fall, other networks will follow suit. They can’t give up too much free advertising time and be able to compete with Fox. Appearing on TV a lot is not the same as transparency; hopefully he will learn this soon.

Thank goodness one media outlet is NOT going to carry his speech. Fox is carrying the REALLY important information going on in Washington right now…the unveiling of the czars. If I am not mistaken, as of yesterday, there was not ONE WORD about Van Jones, the appointed green czar and his really horrid past…self-proclaimed Communist, racist, anti-American…in the NY Times, Washington Post, ABC, CBS, NBC.
Why in the world would I want to watch/read anything these media outlets produce? All they regurgitate are adoring comments about the president. And we are supposed to look to them for trusted news? I’ve gotten my laugh for the morning.
Can we give Pulitzers to bloggers for the information they uncover instead of “reporters”? It is quite telling about the journalistic community that much of what is being uncovered is by blogggers, not paid journalists.

Fox is carrying the speech on FoxNews AND Fox Business; therfore they just don’t see the need to pre-empt their broadcast station as well. If you want to watch the speech on a Fox affiliate, all you have to do is turn on Fox News or Fox Business.

That’s the same date and time slot as the premiere of Glee on Fox, isn’t it? Glee holds far more interest for me than President Obama rehashing arguments for a policy he can’t get through Congress.
It will not just be on the 3 “other” broadcast channels. One of his other broadcasts, was on BET, CSPAN, CNN, CNNHL, MSNBC and others. I counted and it was on a total of 14 stations (I get multiple broadcast network stations.)
If 14 channels isn’t enough, then too bad. This is NOT 1984 or Fahrenheit 451.

I honestly can not understand why anyone would want to listen to Obama. I listened to a few of his early speeches, and I was simply dumbfounded by the enormous number of lies, and of the brazenness of the lies.
He lied about known historical events. He lied about current events. He knowingly lied about the actions, intent and statements of non-Democrats. He lied about the content of bills under debate. The lies went on and on.
I was insulted and angered that he apparently thought I was so incredibly stupid and ignorant, that he could look right into the camera and say so many enormous whoppers with a straight face. I no longer believe or trust a single thing he says, on any topic what-so-ever.
I have lived a few years, and in my life, I can not even once recall seeing a liar suddenly straighten up and stop lying. So exactly what would be the point of taking time out of my schedule, to sit down and watch Obama tell more insulting, self-serving, and outrageous lies? If I feel like being lied to, I can always go down to the local used car dealer.
The “other” news organizations don’t have time to investigate the Obama regime, they are to busy “teabagging.”
