Whishaw, Walters take Int’l Emmys

Danish show 'Protectors' voted top drama series

Ben Whishaw and Julie Walters won the top acting honors at Monday’s Intl. Emmy Awards presentation in New York.

For his role in the BBC production of “Criminal Justice,” Whishaw was voted best actor. Walters took actress honors for “A Short Stay in Switzerland,” also from the Beeb.

Danish skein “The Protectors” — about a special intelligence service unit who attempt to keep the world safe — was voted top drama series. Comedy winner was Japan’s “Hoshi Shinichi’s Short Shorts.”
