Exec named VP creative advertising

Alex Kostich has been upped to VP of creative advertising at Sony Pictures Releasing Intl.

The post makes him the top man for SPRI’s print campaigns, including one sheets, newspaper ads and other marketing materials, that appear in overseas markets.

He also serves as the liaison for SPRI’s 65 international offices for print-related issues for the studio’s releases.  He is currently working on campaigns for “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “2012,” “Zombieland” and “Did You Hear About the Morgans?”

He reports to Ignacio Darnaude, SPRI’s exec VP of creative advertising.

“Alex’s creative contributions and scope of knowledge of the individual local markets have made him an invaluable member of our team,” Darnaude said.

Kostich’s previous campaign credits include the second and third installments of the “Spider-Man” franchise, “The Da Vinci Code,” “Angels & Demons,” “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace.”

He joined SPRI as director, creative advertising in 2003.
