‘Precious’ award for Mariah Carey

Capri-Hollywood Film Festival to honor diva

Mariah Carey will receive the 14th annual Capri-Hollywood Film Festival’s award for this year’s Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “Precious.”

The film will also have its Italian premiere at the fest, which runs Dec. 27- Jan. 2 with its awards presented on Dec. 28. Past recipients of the Supporting Actor nod include Dennis Hopper (“Elegy”), Amy Ryan (“Gone Baby Gone”), Rinko Kikuci (“Babel”) and Matt Dillon (“Crash”).

The Grammy-award winner also has an extensive acting career, which includes 1999’s “The Bachelor,” “Glitter” and “WiseGirls.”
