McBurney to helm ‘Endgame’

Director set for new London production

Simon McBurney (“All My Sons”) will helm a new London production of Samuel Beckett’s “Endgame” from McBurney’s troupe Complicite.

Bowing at the Duchess Theater on the West End in September, production will star Richard Briers, who appeared in McBurney’s staging of “The Chairs,” seen on Broadway in 1998. Briers portrays blind master Hamm opposite Adrian Scarborough as servant Clov.

Miriam Margolyes portrays Hamm’s mother, with the role of Hamm’s father yet to be cast.

Producers Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer present the show with Complicite. Production is set to run Sept. 18-Dec. 5, with a press opening skedded for Sept. 24.
