Greek pic won Un Certain Regard award

Greek drama “Dogtooth” has been picked up by New York-based Kino Intl. for U.S. distribution.

The sophomore pic from Yorgos Lanthimos (“Kinetta”) centers on a dysfunctional family living in self-inflicted seclusion. “Dogtooth,” which won at Un Certain Regard at Cannes in May, has already been acquired in the U.K. (Verve), Spain (Avalon), Australia (Madman), Benelux (Filmfreak) and France (MK2).

Pic screens in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the Toronto Film Festival.
