Kevin James is making a return to CBS’ hit Monday-night laffer lineup. Sort of.
Sony Pictures has struck a deal with the Eye for James to star in a series of interstitials that will run on Monday.
James spent nine seasons on the Eye’s Monday night sked as the star of “The King of Queens,” which was produced by Sony Pictures TV.
The interstitials will promote James’ latest pic, Sony’s “Paul Blart: Mall Cop.” But the spots will also riff on James’ return to Monday night — and how no one there knows who he is anymore.
