Ramsay pic is based on Lionel Shriver novel
LONDON — Luc Roeg’s Independent Film Company has picked up the international rights to director Lynne Ramsay’s latest feature film, “We Need to Talk about Kevin.”
Jennifer Fox is producing the project, which has been developed by BBC Films’ Christine Langan and Paula Jalfon.
Tilda Swinton is set to star as a mother forced to re-examine her relationship with her son after he goes on a murderous rampage two days before his 16th birthday.
Independent is co-producing, co-financing and selling all rights for the project, based on the best-selling novel by Lionel Shriver.
Filming is set to begin in the U.S. early next year.
