Besson pic sells to Italy, Latin America, Japan

French mini-major EuropaCorp has inked a raft of sales on “Adele Blanc Sec,” the comicbook-based pic helmed and produced by Luc Besson.

Pic sold to Italy’s Medusa, Latin America’s Sun Distribution Group and Japan’s Asmik Ace Entertainment. Starring Louise Bourgoin (“The Girl From Monaco”) and Mathieu Amalric (“Public Enemy Number One”) star the film, which is shooting and is scheduled to bow in France in April.

Another EuropaCorp title, “Coursier,” a local comedy starring French thesp Michael Youn, has been nabbed by Russia’s Film Depot, Portugal’s Lusomundo and Benelux’s Belga Films.

At AFM, EuropaCorp is unspooling Xavier Giannoli’s “A l’origine” and pre-selling “Little White Lies,” starring Marion Cotillard (“Public Enemies”) and Guillaume Canet (“Tell No One”), as well as Romain Duris starrer “L’Homme qui voulait vivre sa vie,” based on Douglas Kennedy’s novel “The Big Picture.”
